EBC Kids Preschool REACH Prayer Leader (9:15am - 5 Volunteers & 10:45am - 5 Volunteers)

· Preschool REACH Prayer Leaders partner with Preschool Connect Groups and the Preschool Ministry Director to help preschoolers pray that those in our community would know, love and follow Jesus. He/She commits to personally pray for church prospects, inactive members, and the REACH strategy. They also model for our preschoolers how to pray for the various prayer efforts of the church. In addition, each week he/she will make at least five prayer contacts to: one active member, two inactive members, and two prospects, if possible.

EBC Kids Preschool REACH Outreach Leader (9:15am - 5 Volunteers & 10:45am - 5 Volunteers)

· Preschool REACH Outreach Leaders partner with Preschool Connect Groups and the Preschool Ministry Director to assign prospect contact assignments or other outreach information to every preschooler on a monthly basis, on his/her respective week. Using the materials provided, the Outreach Leader will prepare a bag for each week's REACH participants for their assigned class. During H Week, the Outreach Leaders, with the Preschool Ministry Leader, will create an additional assignment that aligns with the emphasis of the church.

Babies / Beginner Walkers (3 to 5 Volunteers)

· These volunteers take care of our littlest ones with activities.

2-year-olds Class (2 Teachers, 4 Assistants)

· Teachers will guide the 2-year-olds class as they learn about God’s Word through Bible stories and activities. Assistants will assist with activities and classroom management.

3- and 4-year-olds Class (4 to 5 Volunteers)

· Assist with classroom activities and management.

Greeters (1 to 2 Volunteers)

· Assist families with check-in and getting kids to their classrooms.

EBC Kids REACH Prayer Leader (10 Volunteers)

· An EBC Kids REACH Prayer Leader partners with EBC Kids Connect Groups and the Children's Ministry Director to help our EBC Kids to pray for those in our community to know, love and follow Jesus. · This volunteer oversees the administrative needs for Olympians, like overseeing the rotation schedule, counting the offering, and handling any issues that may arise.

· A His Friends Volunteer may serve in various capacities within our Disabilities Ministry. They help support the needs of the program, classroom and with classroom management. They may also serve as a 1:1 buddy for children or students who are a part of inclusive programming.

Outreach leaders are also responsible for assigning prospects to the R.E.A.C.H. team members. Individuals who serve as an outreach leader will be scheduled on a monthly rotation.

Students can volunteer for the role of opening Student MDWK worship with reading announcements and praying to begin the service. The position takes 5-10 minutes. Student prayer and announcement leaders will rotate throughout the year.

MDWK Student Ice Breakers, Games, or Prayer Leaders (4 Middle School Icebreakers, 4 High School Icebreakers, 4 Middle School Prayer, 4 High School Prayer, 4 Middle School Game, 4 High School Game)

During Student Midweek on Wednesday evenings, our volunteers have three primary responsibilities. First, each of them is assigned to either icebreakers, games, or prayer and, on a rotational basis, will be in charge of planning and orchestrating their event for either Middle School or High School students. Second, during the weeks you are not responsible for leading, you act as an extra hand for the other team members, and all leaders assist with a student prayer group as they pray for the prayer requests received through REACH. Third, leaders set an example for our students during worship by worshiping together with awe and surrender, and seek to build relationships with students as they promote uniting in fellowship with hospitality and authenticity.

Student MDWK Tech Team Member (2 volunteers)

Tech team members are responsible for running lights, sound, slides, and performing other tech-related tasks every Student MDWK on Wednesday evenings.

Vocalist (16 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in vocals, including melody and harmony. Vocalists are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for vocals, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Vocalists will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of vocalists serving.

Electric Guitarist (4 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in electric guitar, including rhythm and lead. Electric guitarists are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for vocals, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Electric guitarists will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of electric guitarists serving.

Acoustic Guitarist (4 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitarists are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for guitar, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Acoustic guitarists will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of acoustic guitarists serving.

Bassist (4 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in bass. Bassists are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for vocals, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Bassists will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of bassists serving.

Keyboardist (4 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in keyboard, including accompaniment, lead lines, and background playing. Keyboardists are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for keyboard, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Keyboardists will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of keyboardists serving.

Drummer (4 High School Students)

This position requires a high school student that is proficient in drums. Drummers are required to be present for Student MDWK worship when they are on and off rotation for their spiritual development. When students are on rotation for drums, they will be expected to attend a 2–3-hour rehearsal the Sunday afternoon prior to the Wednesday night they are participating in. Drummers will be put on a weekly to monthly rotation depending on the number of drummers serving.

The Women’s Ministry offers one event per quarter and will need enough volunteers to serve on a rotation so that our volunteers don’t feel “worked” at every event and can attend themselves.

Food Team – (15 volunteers)

This team helps prepare, present, serve, and clean up food for gatherings that encourage fellowship, connection, and spiritual growth.

Hospitality Team – (15 volunteers)

Serve as greeters in different capacities including first-contact welcome with registration, greeting women as they find their seat, answering any questions, and/or talking to women who attended alone to help everyone feel welcome.

Decorating/Setup/Cleanup – (10-15 volunteers)

Most events are kept very simple, so setup and cleanup are minimal. Each event with a theme and decorating needs would work with the team leader to execute the setup as needed on the day of the event. These volunteers would also stay after the event to clean up the decorations.

Discipleship – (10 volunteers)

Lead Bible study groups at EBC OR Host groups in your home

Prayer – (10 volunteers)

Have a heart of God and willing to pray for the women in EBC as well as in the community.

PrimeTimers

Event volunteers are needed to serve on host teams for each PrimeTimers’ event, as well as host team captains. You do not need to be a PrimeTimer to serve in this capacity.

Host Team Captains (10 volunteers)

· oversee one PrimeTimer event each year

· attend leadership meeting one month before the event you will host

· establish a team of host volunteers (typically from sign-up sheets)

· coordinate with host team volunteers to assign responsibilities and communicate schedule to team members (decorating time, arrival time on the night of the event, etc.)

Host Team Volunteer (50 volunteers; 10 per event)

· communicating with Host Team Captain to get details on assigned responsibilities

· decorating, food service, and cleanup

Communion Team (24 volunteers)

• arrive before service starts to prepare elements (bread and juice trays) for both services
• replenish elements in between the first and second service
• collect, empty and wash trays after communion
• We could use 24 volunteers total for this team, which would allow each group of 6 to participate only once a year. Communion typically occurs 4-5 times a year.

Laundry Volunteer (4 volunteers on a weekly rotation)

• Laundry Volunteers help care for and organize linens, towels, and garments used in ministry activities. This role includes washing, drying, folding, and restocking items to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for all. It’s a behind-the-scenes opportunity to serve faithfully and support the church through practical, hands-on help.

Sew 2 Sow (15-18 volunteers)

• Sew 2 Sow is a ministry striving to explore and use the create talents God has given us. We meet once a month on Saturdays to sew together, learn new skills and share with each other. We create quilts that will provide a warm hug to all those who receive them. The quilts we make are gifted to shut-ins and others in our community. We also make quilts for new babies in the nursery at EBC. Sewing and quilting are skills that can be taught and cultivated with practice by anyone 14 years and up. Having access to a sewing machine and related tools to bring with you is most helpful. We have a total of 15-18 spots available in our monthly gatherings on campus at EBC. 

Church Office Receptionist (8 volunteers on a weekly rotation)

The Church Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for members, visitors, and callers. This role includes greeting guests, answering the phone, providing basic information, and offering a welcoming and helpful presence. Receptionists support church staff by helping ensure the office runs smoothly and reflects a spirit of hospitality and care.

Administrative Assistant (4 volunteers on a weekly rotation)

Administrative Assistant volunteers assist with short-term or ongoing office tasks that help support church operations. Opportunities may include organization projects, data entry, preparing materials, or helping with special projects as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy detailed, behind-the-scenes work and want to support ministry through administrative support.

Front Door Greeters (8 volunteers)

Welcome members and guests into the narthex. More volunteers would be needed if someone only serves before one service instead of both services.

Back Door Greeters (4 volunteers)

Greet members and guests who come in through the back door of the Lewis building.

Preschool Door Greeters (8 volunteers)

Greet members and guests who come in through the Preschool welcome area.

Welcome Desk Volunteers (8 volunteers)

Help members and guests who may need help knowing where to go when arriving at church. Stays at the welcome desk during both services.

Baptism Team (16 volunteers on a weekly rotation)

The Baptism Team assists individuals as they prepare for and participate in baptism. Team members have the opportunity to personally interact with candidates as they take this meaningful step of obedience in their salvation journey. This role requires the ability to walk up and down stairs and lift up to 25 pounds.

Discover Englewood Hostess (4 volunteers on a bi-monthly rotation)

The Discover Englewood Hostess warmly welcomes potential new members who are attending Discover Englewood at EBC. This role focuses on creating a friendly, inviting first impression by greeting guests, assisting with check-in, answering basic questions, and helping attendees feel comfortable and valued as they learn more about the church and its mission.

Discover Your Design Class Hostess (4 volunteers on a monthly or bi-monthly rotation)

Discover Your Design Hostess welcome brothers and sisters in Christ as they learn how God has uniquely designed them to serve within the body of Christ. This role helps create a warm, encouraging environment where participants feel supported, valued, and excited to discover their gifts, passions, and opportunities for service.

Next Steps Team (12-24 volunteers on a monthly or bi-monthly rotation)

During the invitations of both the 9:15 and 10:45 worship services, three team members station themselves in the offstage Next Steps Room, a quiet and resource-filled space for congregants seeking prayer, information on baptism or membership, and gospel conversations.

Security Ministry (30 volunteers)

The EBC Security Ministry helps ensure the safety and protection of the congregation, staff, and property. They achieve this by conducting monitoring the facilities, surveillance systems, controlling access points, and managing emergency situations. They often work in coordination with on-site Law Enforcement. Previous law enforcement experience is not required.

Medical Ministry (15 volunteers)

The EBC Medical Ministry delivers immediate, on-site first-responder assistance for any illnesses or emergencies that occur during services and events. This team of trained volunteers, which includes doctors, nurses, and EMTs, ensures patients are stabilized until EMS arrives, employs AEDs, and manages proper health safety

Van Ministry (16 volunteers)

The EBC Van Ministry delivers vital and safe transportation for individuals without access to vehicles, allowing them to attend worship services, Connect Groups, and other events. They function as a mobile outreach, extending hospitality, cultivating relationships, and encouraging community growth by connecting individuals to EBC.

Set-Up Ministry (12 volunteers)

The EBC Set-Up Ministry takes care of getting the facilities ready for Sunday services and events throughout the week. They come in early to organize chairs and tables for ministry events throughout the EBC campus. This ministry is vital to guarantee that the facilities are inviting, functional, and arranged correctly before guests and members arrive.
