March 13, 2020 UPDATE

Englewood Baptist Family,

You know how this situation is constantly changing which is why our Leadership Team has been in constant discussion and prayer regarding COVID-19. In light of the recommendations from our President, our medical experts, and our Governor to postpone large gatherings, here is our immediate course of action:

  • Effective immediately ALL gatherings on our campus are canceled.
  • This includes all Sunday services, mid-week events, and other ministry activities until further notice.

What is the plan for Sunday and what is our responsibility?

  • Continue to Worship. Join us this Sunday for our high-quality, live online experience at 9:15 AM. You can watch from our website, app, on social media platforms, or just click HERE.
  • Continue to Give. Englewood Baptist is a generous church, and we want to demonstrate our faith by giving in this time of crisis. The funds given will help us to minister to many local, national, and international agencies who will bring relief to those affected by Coronavirus. You can give HERE.
  • Continue to Share. Look for ways to share love, share resources, share hope, and share Gospel conversations.
  • Continue to Pray. We will join 46,000 Southern Baptist churches Sunday morning over Livestream at 9:15 am, as we have a special time of prayer specifically about COVID-19.

What Should We Remember?

  • First, our Father is sovereign and He is good. He is in complete control of this global event, and He is faithfully in control of each of our lives. We can, and must, trust Him. This means that while we remain realistic and attentive to the wise advice of those who are leading both our national and state response to COVID-19, we do not fear as those who have no hope.
  • Secondly, this is a wonderful opportunity for us to share the hope we have in Christ with those who succumb to fear. When people are uncertain of the future, we have an opportunity to share with them the truth that Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

As these days progress we will strive to stay current and to keep you aware through these communication channels.

Our pastors and deacons are following up on every need we know about so it is important for you to keep us notified of any emergency, death, or medical need by calling the church office at 252-937-8254.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you,

Pastor Michael
