My First Visit to EBC:
If you are planning to visit Englewood Baptist Church for the first time, take a minute to view this page to get a glimpse of what a Sunday morning visit would be like.
Where is the church?
We are located at 1350 S. Winstead Avenue in Rocky Mount. If you are coming in on Hwy. 64, take the Winstead Avenue Ext. Exit (Exit 138) and turn toward the Hospital (south on Winstead Ave). You will stay on Winstead Ave for about 2 miles and the church building will be on the right.
Where do I park?
Of course you are free to park anywhere you wish, but if you take the entrance that is closest to the church sign, this will take you to the "Visitor Parking" area (these are spaces closest to the building). It is best to arrive early as these spaces are usually taken by our many visitors each Sunday. Every door in the building will be unlocked. Once you enter the building, please follow the signs to the Welcome Center at the main entrance.
When do I need to arrive?
Due to parking considerations, we suggest you plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before the services begin. Sunday Worship times are 9:15 am, 10:45 am & 6:00 pm.
What should I wear?
Englewood is a great mixture of people from different backgrounds and cultures. So, dress comfortably. While some people dress up, others will wear casual clothes. Wednesday nights are always casual. Just come and experience God's love...and don't worry about the clothes.
What about my children?
We LOVE children! We also take very seriously our responsibility to both teach them about Jesus and keep them safe. Our preschoolers (birth through pre-K) are invited and encouraged to attend our classes designed just for them during the worship service hour. This allows you, the parent, to focus on worship and allows your children the freedom to move around, make noise, have fun and learn about Jesus all at the same time! In addition to trained staff and leaders, we provide each child with a numbered security tag. Children kindergarten age and older, are encouraged to attend worship services with their parents.
What is a Bible Fellowship Group?
Three times on Sunday mornings our church family meets for times of Bible study, fellowship and ministry. The times are 8:00 am, 9:15 and 10:45 am. This schedule means that no matter which time you attend worship, you will still have time for Bible study. There are Bible Fellowship Groups that are designed for everyone in your family - birth through our Senior PrimeTimers. The Welcome Center is located outside of the Worship Center and the people there look forward to helping you find a class that is suited just for you!
